Cyber High Schools

The goal of the City College of New York's Center for School Development  Eisenhower Grant is to enrich and improve English and Social Studies instruction in five New York City high schools. This is  done by helping a pioneering group of teachers learn to utilize the Internet and World Wide Web as adjuncts to the courses they teach.

Professional Development

A hands-on graduate course entitled Teaching With the Internet was   designed  by Dr. Sheila Gersh.   She offers this course  to teachers in five NYC high schools.  Forty (40) teachers participated in the course during the first year and another forty (40) teachers are participating  during  the second year.  In addition, on-site support by the project provides additional help to the teachers.  A listserve was created at csd@nrts.engr.ccny.cuny.edu so participants can communcicate
