Cyber High Schools
The goal of the City
College of New York's Center for School Development Eisenhower Grant is to
enrich and improve English and Social Studies instruction in five New York City high
schools. This is done by helping a pioneering group of teachers learn to utilize the
Internet and World Wide Web as adjuncts to the courses they teach. |
Professional Development
A hands-on graduate course entitled Teaching With the Internet
was designed by Dr. Sheila Gersh.
She offers this course to teachers in five NYC high schools. Forty (40)
teachers participated in the course during the first year and another forty (40) teachers
are participating during the second year. In addition, on-site support
by the project provides additional help to the teachers. A listserve was created at csd@nrts.engr.ccny.cuny.edu so participants
