Creating An Autobiographical Poem

Objective: In this lesson, you will create a poem about yourself. It begins with your first name and ends with your last name. Follow the directions for each line in the example below. This poem will serve as your introduction to your classmates and your teacher.

Procedure: Following the example below, write your poem. Post your poem to your home page:

  1. Login to telnet with user id and password.
  2. Type cd public_html
  3. At $ prompt, type pico biopoem.html
  4. Retrieve the paper file using Control R, type paper
  5. When you are finished, experiment with different fonts, add color and graphics.
  6. Create a link on your index.html file named "biopoem.html".
